Key Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing day-to-day to drive our engineering excellence.

Automation Architecture: Design, build, and scale non-flaky automated testing frameworks using Playwright or Cypress.
CI/CD Integration: Own the quality gate in our DevOps pipeline, ensuring tests run efficiently on every commit.
Shift-Left Advocacy: Collaborate with developers early in the SDLC, defining testable requirements and "Definition of Done".
Comprehensive Testing: Lead API (GraphQL/REST), performance (k6), and security testing initiatives beyond standard UI functional tests.
Technical Mentorship: Coach junior engineers and cultivate a culture of quality throughout the entire engineering department.

What is the interview process for this role?

Our process is streamlined and respectful of your time: 1) Initial recruiter screen, 2) Take-home automation challenge (paid), 3) Technical deep-dive with the engineering leads, and 4) Final culture fit chat with our founders.

What timezone overlap is required?

While we are a remote and asynchronous team, we require at least 3 hours of overlap with Jakarta (WIB / GMT+7) working hours to facilitate smooth synchronous planning and team syncs.

Is this role restricted to candidates in Indonesia?

No. While Mantab One is based out of Jakarta, this is a 100% remote global position. As long as you have a reliable internet connection and can accommodate the timezone overlap, you are welcome to apply!

What does success look like in the first 90 days?

By day 90, you will have completed a comprehensive audit of our current QA pipelines, architected the foundation of our new scalable automation framework (Shift-Left), and begun mentoring our engineering team on quality best practices.
